We had so much fun and enjoyment this year in Memphis! We love our Blues Fam and I always get such a great amount of energy and inspiration from being immersed in the energy our community exudes.
The event itself was beautiful, the performances were on 🔥 - the sound was booming and everyone was dressed to the 9s. 🙏 On top of all of the excitement, I was taken all the way to the back by receiving the award for Best Contemporary Blues Female Artist of 2024 😱- I was thoroughly expecting another name to be called, so when I realized the weight, I was completely speechless. In fact, I believe I blacked out a bit during my speech and just wanted to give thanks to the women in my life that helped shape my Artistry and Craft. 💜 Thank you to the Blues Foundation, the nominators, supporters and voting members for the recognition of even being nominated.
